. . .New and Special at StoryTeller Flutes . . . .
I call them
"StoryWood Flutes"
Because each "StoryWood
Flute " has a unique story . . .old or special wood that has had a
special life or grown and found right here on the farm. . . Let me tell you
about this flute . . .Made of Iron Wood which grows right here on the
farm...hard knurly wood that has a hard time growing straight for very long
. . .This beautifully grained flute is in the key of low D#. . . .It has a
beautiful voice. The inlaid tips are of black walnut which is also from the
farm . .I had a lot of fun with this flute . . . .spending many hours
looking for a piece of ironwood. This one was dead and aged when I found it
. . . .it was in an area where the Scottish Highland Cattle now roam . . .
The price of this flute
is 550.00 . . . .includes a flute bag. New York State residents add
applicable sales tax.
As always . . my
life time/forever warranty . ..SOLD
The Flute Below is
basically responsible for the "StoryWood" Flute concept . . .
This flute used to be a
1938 Chris Craft Boat. . .Made of Mahogany and Teak. I met the man who had
the old wood and he told me a story of an old boat that had been on the
Great Lakes for many years . . .with a twinkle in his eye he asked me if I'd
like some of the old boat wood for some flutes . . .
This one is In the Key of
Low A.
Has excellent volume. . .
for a low keyed flute . . .I call it "Grandfather"
I do not know what makes these flutes more
special . . the story behind them or the awesome sound they make . .but I believe
that the story effects the sound and the way I play them . . .The flute is
old Honduras Mahogany with inlaid tips of Teak.
